Labels are off to the printer and should be ready to pick up on Monday. Horseradish extract is ordered and should arrive on Tuesday. Tomatoes for the big test are in house. I am really ready to get this going. On a lark I set up one of my Disney food blog posts on Facebook as sponsored content in California, Oregon, Washington State, Utah, and Texas. What little response i received was pretty positive. I did get a few comments from people concerned with Disney's use of magic and idolatry which, I guess, when you put anything out there you will incur the attention of well-meaning if quite a bit misguided individuals.
I'm still waiting to hear from the FDA, but I am all square with the Utah Department of Agriculture and Food. It is really only necessary for storage of the jars in my home office for shipping online sales. I guess the big question is do I just crank out four pallet loads over the course of four days and hope that I sell them quickly or do I wait to sell the first one then do another, then another, then another. I am leaning towards firing them all off at once, but still the nerves are there and i don't want to be sitting on what is a lot of inventory for me at the moment. But, then again, as soon as I have the salable product ready I am going to try to set an appointment with the Whole Foods regional office for a sales meeting.
Once it's ready we will also be featuring it on the 350 Main Brasserie menu and selling bottles of it out of the restaurant. We are going to showcase it on the Lobster Cocktail just like we did last year. At first, we will have to use stuff I am making here because the full winter menu goes live on the 15th of December(tomorrow), but then we will move into my bottled stuff.
